Click for general notes about Gillett & JohnstonI have heard it said, though I can't at the moment find the reference, that Synchronome company made Master clocks for G & J. The general appearance of this case supports this view both on account of the style of the case and its door latches and also the type of pilot dial used which appears to be a close likeness to the movement in synchronome slaves.
