Notes:

I think this an interesting clock. It turned up in Australia, far from its native Germany, and was bought by Frank Dean who provided me with the pictures. I have no information about it beyond the pictures, but it appears to be an early version of an electrically rewound clock powered by battery.

My own view, from the case style etc., is that it dates from somewhere in the prewar era, possibly mid 1920's.

The rewinding mechanism consists of two substantial coils which power a large rotating armature. The coils are energised when contacts close as the spring of the clock unwinds and as a result the rotation of the armature will rewind the spring.
