I obtained these pictures through the good offices of a friend of mine, I. F. who photographed a friends clock.
Case:
Medium Oak with pilot dial set in upper panel of front. This case is similar in basic design to the case used in clocks made for the Post Office, but those had an attractively shaped backboard.
Movement:
Electrically maintained pendulum with heavy bob. The mechanism is arranged to provide pulses of alternate polarity to drive the pilot dial and slaves. This has two big advantages: First, the slaves are very quiet in opareation compared with a normal impluse system. Second, a poor contact (which can cause multiple pulses and scatter the slave dials of a normal impulse system) does not have any effect on an alternate polarity system as once a pulse is received, no further pulses have any effect until one of reverse polarity is received.Picture of Nameplate on front of clock
