They became the Western Clock Co. prior to 1925 and were again renamed in 1936 then adopting the name Westclox. This had been their trademark since 1909.
At some point they became a subsidiary of the General Time Corporation USA.
In 1948,after the second world war, they established a factory at Dunbarton in Scotland. They produced their first million clocks by 1950 at which time there were some 320 employees.
By 1962 1600 people were employed an the factory extended to 250,000 Sq ft. At around 1962 they produced their twenty-millionth clock. Daily production was over 14,000 units 40% of which were exported.
