Case: Octagonal with drop section having glass door to allow pendulum to be seen. Case is mahogany with gilt banding. Brass bezel to dial. Dial painted and marked "JT Schultheiss, Chatham, Seth Thomas". Backboard has the original label or clock paper with "Directions for setting up this clock" and carries the name Seth Thomas and the address in this case is Thomaston, Conn.
Size: 21.5 inches high.
Movement: Brass, spring driven, brass faced pendulum.
Notes: An early American clock by a renowned maker.
