Case: Mahogany with arched top having 4 brass finials. Front and rear doors fitted locks (I have one key). Brass bun feet
Size: 11.75 inches high.
Movement:Very heavy quality fusee movement. strike on a tape gong. Has a screw for securing pendulum when clock moved. Dial is engraved with silvered chapter ring and slow fast dial in the arch.
Notes: There is a pronounced similarity between this clock and one illustrated page 129 of
CC, though my clock does not have the chime feature.
On the other hand, it is mahogany cased rather than oak and many think mahogany the more attractive.
In their book, the Shentons do not identify the maker or date but I think it dates from the end of 19th or beginning of the 20th Century.
