Skeleton Clock
Ref No: 29
Case: Glass dome and base containing the original base. Original dome missing. The original base has a brass plaque with the wording "G Sharp, maker, No. 63 Mark Lane" see notes below.
Size: 15.5 inches high including original base.
Movement: Brass plates in skeleton form with fusee (uses flexible wire). Silvered chapter ring and silvered seconds ring.
Condition: Good except for some damage to one end of the original base where some moron has chopped away the veneer to enable the base to fit into the replacement dome.
Notes: In old clocks and watches, B
records a George Sharp 1822-25.
Unusual features of this clock are that it has a seconds hand and a dead beat (or semi dead beat) escapement and,
a touch of detail, it has a clamp screw for the pendulum.
