Oak case with exposed pendulum. The decorative motifs show a marked art nouveau influence which is commensurate with the date of around 1906Movement:
Size: 24 inches high and approx 13.5 inches wide overall.
This was the subject of a German patent in 1906 and is fully described in an article in the Deutsche Uhrmacher Zeitung of 1906. I have a copy of the article, but unfortunately it is in technical German which I cannot read.
Although designed and patented by Schneider & Wesenfeld, the clock was made for them by Tobias Bauerle and carries his trade mark of a leaping deer. It seems probable that this was before his two sons became partners in the Bauerle company as the trademark makes no reference to them. This is a fine and collectable object and I only know of one other such Korrekta clock (though that has a different case design).
