Size: 39.5 inches high. 16 inches wide, 6.5 inches deep.
Remontoire mechanism. Operates from 12 volt which powers a rotating armature which spins a "flywheel" part of a turn and in so doing rewinds a very small weight which in turn powers the clock and also operates a rotary contact once a minute to provide a positive then a negative pulse to operate the slave dials which require these alternate pulses. This system of using pulses of alternate polarity, widely used on the continent, avoids inaccurate timekeeping if there is a poor (bouncy) contact. Wooden pendulum rod and brass faced bob.Other pictures:

The contacts and commutator which provide alternate polarity pulses
Notes:
Elektrozeit, a German manufacturer produced this fine clock, Serial number 132082. Has built in 8 inch dial. The clock is very quiet in operation as the remontoire armature rotates and does not "hammer" closed as do most English types
EZ eventually became T & N who are a famous German company. The T & N master clock bears a very close resemblance to this early EZ
