Case: Typical Gents style case in Agba with glazed front
Size: 50.5 inches high. 11.5 inches wide, 7 inches deep.
Date: Serial number 14836 dated 30/6/1971
Movement: Standard heavy duty battery driven mechanism, made by Messrs Gents of Leicester. Has metal pendulum rod believed to be Invar and heavy bob.
Notes: This clock has an extended dial face and examination shows an extra slave mechanism below that driving the dial.
This extra mechanism provides contacting and switching at 30 minute intervals and is understood to indicate that the clock came from an electricity generating station where it provided the impulsing needed for "Off Peak" supply switching.
