Case: Simple modern style oak finish case
Size: 32.5 inches high. 12 inches wide, 7 inches deep.
Movement: Synchronous motor powers a remontoire mechanism. Has metal pendulum rod and cylindrical metal bob.
Notes: Of German manufacture, this clock has an integral 9 inch dial and programming wheel with contacts to ring school bells etc...Also has a pair of mercury switches to the left of the movement (viewed from front) which provide pulses of alternate polarity, the polarity changes once a minute and this is used to operate slave dials fitted with a suitable movement. The system has the advantage that a bad contact, or a multiple bounce contact does not cause false impulses to operate the slave which will not step forward until the next pulse of opposite polarity is received
