The printer has the additional feature of a clip mechanism to clip a piece from the side of the workers card as a security measure. Other than this it is the usual heavily built mechanism used by NTR, modified to use only one handle.

Because the purpose of these clocks was to time workers on and off shift they had essentially to work very reliably and be excellent timekeepers.
