Large Bulle mantel clock in Four Glass case

Bulle battery electric type. Serial Number 315742. Dial marked "Bulle-Clock" and"Brevette SDGD patented"

This is a classic "Modele L" bulle, a later model, but very collectable. From its serial number it probably dates from 1948.

The Bulle clock was invented by M. Favre-Bulle and they were produced in France from c1920. It proved to be a popular and successful clock, many being sold in the UK, and production continued up until c1954.
