Large Bulle mantel clock with glass dome

Glass dome with hardwood base.
Size: 16 inches high.

Bulle battery electric type. Serial Number 63243. Dial marked "Bulle-Clock"

This is a classic "Modele A" bulle, very collectable. This clock has a presentation plaque dated 1928 so it most probably dates from late 1926 to mid 1927.

The Bulle clock was invented by M. Favre-Bulle and they were produced in France from c1920. It proved to be a popular and successful clock, many being sold in the UK, and production continued up until c1954.
