Case:
Spray finished metal. Has lock but no key.
Notes:
Size approx. 20" x 12.5" x 10.5" . Weight about 56 pounds. (56lb)
Movement:
Has an impulse drive which would originally have been activated from a master clock. This movement also drives the print mechanism. To avoid the need for a master clock a synchronous motor and cam have been added!

This is a fantastically complicated clock!

Virtually every development from a basic time recorder can be traced as the extra bits have been added to a basic model to provide additional functions.

On the printer side, the basic old printer mechanism can be seen, complete with the brass label and standard knob to allow the hour to be changed.

A colour change ribbon has been added, and automatic timing for recording "in's" and "out's" is built on.

The machine has been further automated by arranging that card insertion flips a microswitch to actuate the printout and a "Clip" mechanism has been added.

On the clock side, someone wanted to avoid the need for an impulse drive from a master clock... so what did they do? add on a synchronous motor with a cam and microswitch complete with a built in power supply using a selenium rectifier to produce a pulse once a minute to drive the existing impulse magnets (no matter that a small sync motor has adequate power to drive the works by itself!)

Then as a final feature, a bell ringing mechanism has been constructed with another synchronous motor and cam system (presumably for controlling the length of time that the bell rings).

All this in a metal case of standard size as used for example in my clock c147. It must have been a nightmare to service!
