Case: Made in simulated carved wood. The eyes tell the time
Size: 4.5 inches high.
Movement: These dog clocks were made in Germany by J Oswald of Frieburg. They were patented in England and also shown at the Leipzig Fair where they were an instant success.
Notes: Small, but an eyecatcher and definitely a collectable clock. Dates from circa 1928. References to similar clocks: CC p 256. One of these was recently shown on UK TV in the Antiques Roadshow and was valued at around 300 pounds.
