Birdcage novelty clock

As Picture. Time shown on aluminium drums by pointer. Bird moves with the escapement.
Size: 8 inches high.

In base of cage, includes an alarm.

A ghastly object, but some one liked it! I think it dates from circa: 1930I have had more correspondence about these clocks than any other! It appears quite a lot of people like them.

I have since seen a similar clock with a synchronous motor. That needs a power cord and in my view looks daft. I have also been told of two which have no "hanger"
