basic information about Smiths Domestic Clocks
and make this generally available..more

I wish to express my appreciation to Smiths Group plc, who through Mr J. Flint very generously

BARRIE'S BOOKS

Since I started the Clock Museum I have had three books about clocks published by Pierhead Publications. The one I want to mention here is the one on Smiths domestic Clocks. Brief details are given below. So far as I am concerned this is a strictly non profit making venture, I just want to make the information I have available in some permanent form.

Smith domestic Clocks

Smiths of Cricklewood were one of the most prolific clockmakers of the twentieth century, and there can be few homes that have not contained at least one of the company's products.

Apart from the history of the company and factory photographs, this publication contains a fully indexed picture gallery that will allow collectors, dealers and owners of Smiths clocks to date and name their own clocks and thus add to their knowledge and enjoyment.

The reference Guide contains pictures of over 2150 Smiths Clocks and Timers.
